About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Exceptional Care, a therapeutic children's service providing care and support to children and young people aged 8-17 with complex backgrounds and challenging behaviors.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for leading and planning your team on shift, mentoring and supporting new team members, and taking responsibility for supervision of staff. You will also act as a Key worker for a specified individual young person, taking on responsibility for specified areas of care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and plan your team on shift, mentoring and supporting new team members
  • Take responsibility for supervision of staff and conduct supervisions
  • Act as a Key worker for a specified individual young person, taking on responsibility for specified areas of care and support
  • Provide advice, assistance, and support to young people from complex backgrounds with challenging behaviors and emotional behavioral difficulties

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent
  • 2 years' experience supporting young people in a children's residential setting
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence (preferred)
