Children's Residential Team Leader Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team at Exceptional Care, a therapeutic children's service providing care and support to children and young people aged 8-17, from complex backgrounds, who display challenging behaviour and EBD.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and planning their team on shift, taking responsibility for supervision of staff, and providing a high standard of care and support to vulnerable young people, with challenging behaviour and emotional behavioural difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Manager and Deputies in ensuring that each young person has their needs met through effective assessment and care planning.
- Review and monitor care plans/contribute to review reports as directed.
- Support and participate in young people's social, educational / recreational activities in line with care plans, trips out and holidays.
- Liaise with other agencies/professionals as necessary in conjunction with Managers.
- Record information about young people and ensure communication with staff members if effective.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent.
- 2 years' experience supporting young people in a children's residential setting.
