Children's Residential Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Exceptional Care, a therapeutic children's service providing care and support to children and young people aged 8-17 with complex backgrounds and challenging behaviors.
About the Role
As a Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for leading and planning your team on shift, mentoring and supporting new team members, and taking responsibility for supervision of staff. You will also act as a Key worker for a specified individual young person, taking on responsibility for specified areas of care and support, including ensuring all medical needs are met and supporting the young person to advocate their own needs and wishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Manager and Deputies in ensuring that each young person has their needs met through effective assessment and care planning.
- Review and monitor care plans, contributing to review reports as directed.
- Support and participate in young people's social, educational, and recreational activities in line with care plans, trips out, and holidays.
- Liaise with other agencies and professionals as necessary in conjunction with Managers.
- Record information about young people and ensure communication with staff members if effective.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
- 2 years' experience supporting young people in a children's residential setting.
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence (preferred).
