Job Summary
Spire Healthcare is seeking a skilled Chef to join their Bank team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and be able to provide a varied and healthy menu for both the team and patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out regular health and safety checks to ensure a safe working environment.
- Deliver the catering service within hospital guidelines, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
- Manage the kitchen team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop and improve services in the kitchens and wider catering team, continually seeking ways to enhance the patient experience.
- Plan and implement catering for functions, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional quality.
- Ensure food quality and safety are consistently met, adhering to hospital guidelines and regulations.
Requirements
- A food hygiene certificate, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety.
- A City and Guilds chef qualification or NVQ, showcasing expertise in culinary skills and kitchen management.
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Some leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide the kitchen team.
- A valid car driver's license, as regular travel between sites may be required.
