Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is £96,990 - £139,882, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist to join our team at St Mary's Hospital in Kettering. The ideal candidate will have expertise in General Adult psychiatry and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

This is a full-time position, requiring 10 sessions per week (40 hours). We offer flexible hours/job share opportunities, access to a dedicated research and innovation team, mentorship, and undergraduate education opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care in General Adult psychiatry
  • Contribute to the development of innovative treatment plans and programs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
  • Mentor junior staff members and provide guidance on best practices

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • Fully registered with the GMC as a Consultant
  • Specialist Registration in General Adult psychiatry
  • Approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act
  • Addition Postgraduate Qualifications and/or publication record
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
