Visitor Services Assistant

We are seeking two Visitor Assistants to join our Visitor Services Team at the John Rylands Research Institute and Library in Manchester.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to engage with a diverse range of people in a warm, informed, and friendly way. As a Visitor Services Assistant, you will welcome visitors, answer queries, and help members of the public feel valued and confident as they experience the research, collections, and Grade 1 listed building.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with visitors and provide excellent customer service
  • Operate a booking service and support Library events
  • Work in the Rylands' shop and assist with sales and customer queries
  • Support the Visitor Services Team in delivering a high-quality service to visitors
