Health Visitor Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Health Visitor to join our dynamic team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Health Visitor, you will play a vital role in delivering the Healthy Child Programme, working in partnership with families to develop and agree tailored health plans to address their parenting and health needs.

Our Health Visiting teams support families to identify their health needs and are supported by clinical specialist Health Visitors with additional training. You will have opportunities to develop your practice and work on programmes of care that meet the public health needs of the population.

As a Health Visitor, you will provide parenting skills support and information through coordinating/participating in parenting groups and one-to-one home visits to families, especially those with complex health needs/vulnerabilities.

We work in collaboration with other healthcare and service providers to ensure seamless delivery of services for clients and communities.

Requirements
  • Registered Health Visitor or Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) degree or working towards
  • Experience of working with young children and families
  • Caseload management skills
  • Teaching, assessing, and people development skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Information Technology skills
  • Health promotion skills
