Your New Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multiple civil engineering and highway projects. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and quality control checks to ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  2. Develop detailed project plans outlining scope, timelines, resource allocation, milestones, and budgets to ensure smooth project execution.
  3. Coordinate with site managers, supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  4. Review and approve project documentation, including risk assessments, safety audits, procurement requests, and project reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  5. Participate in the negotiation of contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure favourable terms and conditions.

Requirements

  1. Prior experience in permitting, preferably within Highways Maintenance, Local Authority, Civils, Telecommunications, or a Water company.
  2. Understanding of the NRSWA and Traffic Management Acts, with a strong emphasis on compliance and regulatory requirements.
  3. Experience with Network and Asset Management software, with the ability to learn various IT systems efficiently.
