Community Service Worker

The British Red Cross is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Community Service Worker. In this role, you will work closely with our Health and Local Crisis Response service to support individuals in need.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing reactive, focused, and flexible support to adults following a hospital stay to enable early discharge.
  • Assessing service users' needs, completing and following a support plan for the individual.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in their community. To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A full UK manual driving licence.
  • A good knowledge of services provided by the NHS and Social Care.

We offer a competitive salary of £21,840 per annum pro-rata, based on 35 hours per week, as well as a range of benefits, including:

  • 36 days annual leave (including bank holidays) + option to buy 5 extra days.
  • Pension scheme: Up to 6% contributory pension.
  • Flexible working: We do our best to accommodate your preferred work style.
