School Administration and Business Support Officer

We are seeking an experienced School Business Officer to join Derbyshire County Council. This role will involve the day-to-day running of a busy school office, including finance, resources, GDPR, property, and health and safety.
The successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal, administrative, and IT skills, as well as a high-level understanding of confidentiality. They will be confident in using their own initiative and responsible for managing the school office efficiently.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a challenging role within a dynamic team. The successful candidate will have the potential for pay progression with experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the school office
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and data protection regulations
- Oversee finance and resource management
- Coordinate property maintenance and health and safety initiatives
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
Requirements:
- Degree in Business Administration or related field (desired)
- Proven experience in school administration or business support (minimum 2 years)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
