Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a challenging role in financial claims processing? Do you have excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering high-quality results? We are seeking an experienced Financial Claims Specialist to join our team in Hartlepool.
In this role, you will be responsible for processing and managing financial claims related to housing benefits and council tax. You will work closely with our clients to ensure accurate and timely processing, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Benefits Processing Expert to join our team in Hartlepool. As a Benefits Processing Expert, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial claims processing. Your primary responsibility will be to process and manage financial claims related to housing benefits and council tax.
- Process and manage financial claims related to housing benefits and council tax.
- Work closely with clients to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
You will be working within a busy area of the Revenues & Benefits department, where you will be involved in processing all Housing / Council tax changes, RTI cases, and new claims following procedures given and working to KPIs with excellent accuracy at all times.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A proven track record of financial claims processing or a related field.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
- IT competence, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.

For example, as a Benefits Processing Expert, you may look to undertake additional training in one or more of our Central Government services.
