**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Site Manager to join our team at St John's CE Primary and Nursery School. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the school site, ensuring a high level of hygiene and safety is maintained.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Unlocking the school in the morning and locking it in the afternoon
  • Undertaking general caretaking and maintenance duties
  • Reporting items needing repair
  • Working with the school's cleaning company to ensure internal and external areas remain clean and safe
  • Assisting in the decoration of the school
  • Maintaining the school's grounds
  • Advising and collaborating with the Headteacher and Head of School to develop and improve internal and external areas of the school site
  • Ensuring stock levels are maintained on items such as cleaning products
  • Contacting and communicating with outside contractors for major repair work
  • Checking that heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly
  • Liaising with and supervising utility companies
  • Coordinating drills for fire safety, lockdown and evacuation procedures
  • Championing health and safety around the school and supervising external contractors
