About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner to join our team in the inpatient rehabilitation department at Ysbyty Cwm Cynon, Mountain Ash.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the therapy team on the inpatient wards and therapy gym setting in the day-to-day assessments of patients and delivery of Physiotherapy treatment programmes.
  • Be involved in assessment, progression, and discharge planning of patients requiring rehabilitation.
  • Utilize rehabilitation programs and be responsible for your own caseload, working both individually and alongside other members of the team.
  • Gather information about home circumstances, complete specific functional assessments, order equipment if needed, and provide rehabilitation and planning discharges.
Requirements
  • NVQ 3 level or equivalent knowledge of specific patient conditions or level 3 certificate in personal training/fitness instruction.
  • Experience of working as Band 3 in healthcare or equivalent experience from the leisure or social care sector.
  • Standard keyboard skills and familiarity of computer software, word processing, email, and Excel.
