About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner to join our team in the inpatient rehabilitation department at Ysbyty Cwm Cynon, Mountain Ash.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to gain experience as a Band 4 Physiotherapy Assistant practitioner and be involved in the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients within the hospital setting.

Main Duties
  • Carry out treatment programs under the guidance of a registered therapist to provide rehabilitation and other interventions to facilitate safe discharge.
  • Undertake clerical and administration tasks, including keeping records, filing, photocopying, statistics, and data collection.
  • Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide support to patients and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and organized approach to rehabilitation, with a focus on patient-centered care.
Requirements
  • NVQ 3 level or equivalent knowledge of specific patient conditions or level 3 certificate in personal training/fitness instruction.
  • Experience of working as Band 3 in healthcare or equivalent experience from the leisure or social care sector.
  • Standard keyboard skills and familiarity with computer software, including word processing, email, and Excel.
