Job Overview

A career opportunity has arisen for a Global Trade Import Specialist to join ALS Recruiting Ltd. as part of their growing team.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Costing and preparing quotes for import services
  • Liaising with overseas partners and offices to ensure smooth logistics
  • Creating job files on the in-house system, ideally with experience using Boxtop/Sequoia or Cargowise
  • Liaising with customers to obtain clearance instructions and providing updates throughout the process
  • Completing customs clearance procedures
  • Organizing and arranging airline/shipping line collection and delivery
  • Costing and invoicing, with arrangement of payment where necessary
  • Conversing with shipping lines/agents and hauliers to ensure a seamless start-to-finish process
  • Recognizing and resolving discrepancies
  • Providing exceptional customer service
Working Conditions and Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary of £28-35k per annum, dependent on experience, and is based on a Monday-to-Friday schedule from 0900-1730hrs.
