Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled UK Customs and Trade Compliance Manager to join our client, a leading global medical solutions company.

This is a unique opportunity to shape and influence the trade compliance program within a company committed to improving lives through innovative medical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a standardised global trade compliance program, focusing on the UK and Europe.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, supporting the smooth and efficient movement of products globally.
  • Manage and support the Inward Process Relief program, ensuring accurate reconciliation and compliance.
  • Conduct audits and manage the AEO certification process, analysing and resolving compliance issues.
  • Assign and review global Harmonised Tariff Codes (HTC) and manage SAP master data.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including trade automation and process optimisation.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in international trade compliance, with expertise in both import and export regulations. They should possess strong knowledge of HTS classification, particularly in medical devices, within Europe and the US.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in international trade compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of HTS classification, particularly in medical devices, within Europe and the US.
  • Proven experience in managing global customs programs and working with diverse, multinational teams.
  • Direct experience with Inward Processing Relief (IPR) is essential.
  • Ability to analyse complex problems, develop actionable strategies, and implement them effectively.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications, with strong analytical and communication skills.
