Job Title: Global Trade Pricing Specialist

Location: London, UK

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

The role of the Global Trade Pricing Specialist is to perform a critical function in implementing and communicating trade policy and objectives through day-to-day activities for Europe/MED – Asia EB. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing Europe export data analysis and cargo pricing in line with trade policy and objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To perform regular structural review of regions/AC performance against target goal levels and follow up on any performance deviations, providing insight analysis of cargo patterns and forecasts.
  • To work with regions/MKTG teams and monitor any deviations in performance, providing guidance and directions based on cargo pattern analysis to maximise overall trade profitability.
  • To review route costs, create and maintain arbitrary cost lists, manage opening/closing routes, and coordinate cargo portfolio strategy analysis to maximise revenue return.
  • To prepare daily/weekly cargo trend analysis/booking monitoring reports to facilitate process management and optimisation of vessel allocations and trade profitability.
  • To support the European Space management/Pricing team with clear guidance and cargo trend analysis.
  • To manage optimal cargo routing tables for Europe/MED – Asia trade, setting and maintaining route priority, cross-referencing against internal way port allocations.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to analyse complex amounts of data and create ad-hoc analysis when required.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and strong communication written/verbal skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and previous pricing/market liner shipping experience is desirable but not essential.
