Wastewater Network Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Wastewater Network Technician to join our team at Yorkshire Water. As a key member of our Customer Field Services department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our sewer network, including proactive desilting, inspection, cleaning, and defect resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Recycler Assistant to support operational activities and resolve issues on the sewer network.
- Collaborate with other Yorkshire Water teams and contracted partners to manage operational issues and ensure a first-time fix solution for customers and the environment.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety working practices and procedures, and demonstrate financial awareness when making day-to-day business decisions.
- Provide technical support and first-line response to customer contacts to ensure a fix-first-time resolution and promote the most cost-effective solution.
Requirements:
- A full valid EU driving licence (with no more than six points) and a Heavy Goods Vehicle category C licence plus DCPC.
- Experience of driving vehicles with a liquid load and operating a recycler vehicle.
- A strong Health & Safety background and ability to find faults and diagnose the root cause of an issue.
- Competent in the use of IT systems and previous experience in a customer service role with face-to-face communication with customers.
- Knowledge and experience of working with Microsoft Excel and ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships.

Location: We currently have a vacancy for a Wastewater Network Technician to join our Customer Field Services department with our Waste Service Delivery Business Unit working out of Lower Brighouse, covering the whole of Yorkshire.
Work Type: This is a permanent opportunity working 40 hours per week, with a permanent night shift Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday to 07:00. You will be required to travel to different operational sites across the region, therefore a full valid driving licence (no more than 6 points), a LGV licence Category C and ideally a driver DCPC is required.
