Wastewater Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Wastewater Technician to join our team at Yorkshire Water. As a key member of our Customer Field Services department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our sewer network, including proactive desilting, inspection, cleaning, and defect resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Recycler Assistant to support operational activities
- Collaborate with other Yorkshire Water teams and contracted partners to resolve and manage operational issues on the sewer network
- Ensure a first-time fix solution for customers and the environment while maintaining quality follow-on work
- Comply with Health and Safety working practices and procedures
- Provide technical support and first-line response to customer contacts
Requirements:
- Full valid EU driving licence with no more than six points and a Heavy Goods Vehicle category C licence plus DCPC
- Experience of driving vehicles with a liquid load and operating a recycler vehicle
- Strong Health & Safety background and ability to find faults and diagnose root causes
- Competent in the use of IT systems and previous experience in a customer service role
- Knowledge and experience of working with Microsoft Excel and ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships
