Rothmans LLP is an established successful Chartered Accountancy firm providing accountancy, audit, taxation, and business advisory services to individuals and companies across Hampshire and Wiltshire.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Financial Administrator to join our team in our Southampton office. The ideal candidate will have experience working in payroll or bookkeeping departments of professional accountancy practices or possess relevant skills and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of various payroll software packages including Sage.
- Supervise the preparation of payrolls for clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual payrolls to prevent missed deadlines.
- Maintain current technical tax and VAT knowledge.
- Have a good understanding of bookkeeping software packages such as Quickbooks Online, Xero, and Sage.
- Utilize automation software packages like AutoEntry and Dext.
- Ensure timely completion of monthly, quarterly bookkeeping, and VAT Return tasks.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in payroll or bookkeeping, preferably with a professional accountancy practice.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies.
We provide appropriate training where necessary and offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, develop new skills, and contribute to the success of our clients.
