Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) Consultant Psychiatrist to join their team. As a key member of the locality team, you will play a vital role in delivering a safe, effective, and caring service to children and young people (0-18 years).
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality specialist clinical assessments, including psychiatric and physical investigations, to children, young people, and their families in various settings.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to plan and deliver individually tailored treatment plans.
- Contribute to the development of a friendly and supportive team environment, including nurses, psychologists, systemic family therapists, and child psychotherapists.
- Participate in a Trust-wide SAS network, enabling opportunities for peer networking and professional development.

Person Specification- Essential:
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Desirable:
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- Excellent clinical skills using a bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
