Strategic Communications and Engagement Lead

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Communications and Engagement Lead to join its Digital, Data & Technology department.
The successful candidate will provide operational leadership on internal communications issues and public affairs, managing the day-to-day Communications and Engagement for specific and highly complex projects.
The post holder will lead in the development, implementation, and evaluation of robust communications and engagement plans, tailored to the needs of a range of individuals and stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
- Tailor communications and engagement approaches, taking a behavioural insights methodology, and provide the necessary support to project and programme leads.
- Think strategically as well as provide operational communications and engagement support to work programmes and team members.
- Provide expert, specialist, creative, and innovative advice to the Health Board on its communication and engagement requirements.
- Write, proof, edit, and coordinate complex material, including communications package outputs, for a range of stakeholders.
- Support the handling of media enquiries on contentious and sensitive issues, demonstrating awareness of various behavioural change approaches and experience of targeted communications.
- Provide programme teams and senior leadership team with reputation advice, including strategies on how to reach a range of groups across our communities.
- Implement a joined-up approach to promoting activity internally and provide support externally and with key partners.
