Job Summary

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Community team. As a Band 6 OT, you will be responsible for assessing the functional needs of adults in their homes and in a community setting, in line with relevant legislation and policies.

Main Duties
  1. Manage a caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence-based principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
  2. Provide leadership for junior staff through supervision, competencies, and appraisal.
  3. Participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of Therapy services within a designated area/team, holding responsibility for defined projects.
  4. Contribute to the maintenance and development of the trust Therapy service.
  5. Regularly supervise Occupational Therapy students on practice placements.
  6. Participate in rotations as assigned by your manager.

Essential

  • HCPC Registered or equivalent
  • Good understanding of community OT
  • Experience of working with unqualified assistant therapy staff

  • Previous community experience
  • Knowledge and awareness of risk assessment
