Job Summary

Fairlie Healthcare Group is a leading provider of high-quality care, specializing in caring for adults with neurological conditions and patients with tracheostomies and ventilator support. We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Senior Occupational Therapist - Neurological Rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide highly specialized occupational therapy assessment and intervention for residents with complex needs, ensuring a high professional standard of care.
  • Develop and deliver resident-centered interventions based on evidence-based practice and treatment options, utilizing specialist clinical assessment, reasoning skills, and treatment skills.
  • Conduct highly specialist assessments of neurological occupational therapy, including cognitive assessments such as The Wessex Head Injury Matrix (WHIM), Sensory Modality Assessment and Rehabilitation Technique (SMART), and The JFK Coma Recovery Scale Revised (CRS-R).
  • Communicate effectively with residents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to maximize rehabilitation potential and ensure understanding of conditions.
  • Participate in management and service development meetings as a representative of the occupational therapy service.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in occupational therapy, particularly in neurological rehabilitation and complex care.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
