About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer - Building Services to join our team on a major project located in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineering Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure the successful delivery of engineering tasks in the initial planning and design phase of projects.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Interact with other disciplines, project support groups, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives as appropriate on an assigned project.
  • Engineering Calculations and Specifications: Perform engineering calculations, prepare specifications, and maintain related data.
  • Design and Drafting: Maintain liaison with design and drafting groups, prepare and review drawings as required.
  • Project Management: Plan and schedule engineering efforts associated with assigned projects, ensure quality, quantity, and completeness of assigned engineering tasks.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain timely and accurate oral and written technical reports regarding assigned engineering activities, keep proper engineering files and records.
  • Technical Knowledge and Skills: Understand and use computer software and applications associated with engineering assignments, continually upgrade technical knowledge and capabilities, and pursue additional training.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Express ideas clearly and listen effectively to the ideas of others, familiar with codes, permits, and company cornerstone applications.
Requirements
  • Education: Ideally degree qualified or HNC/HND in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience: Previous experience in highly regulated industries, proven experience in delivering projects of over £1 million, and flexibility to adapt to a changing work environment.
  • Skills: Proven excellent analytical and organisational skills, ability to manage high-value projects, and knowledge of nuclear site decommissioning and waste management.
