We are seeking a Senior Engineering Assurance Manager to become a vital part of our team, focusing on a significant project.

The Senior Engineering Assurance Manager will oversee the coordination, execution, and effectiveness of engineering operations for a designated project. This role requires close collaboration with Project Managers and Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the identification and establishment of project manpower requirements while coordinating technical efforts across various disciplines.
  • Ensure adherence to all statutory and licensing obligations.
  • Design a technically robust, safe, and operationally efficient facility with high reliability standards.
  • Develop and distribute Engineering Execution Plans, ensuring incorporation of all relevant customer specifications, procedures, and standards.
  • Create comprehensive lists from each discipline to compile a master document list for the project.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to formulate subcontract and work package descriptions aligned with the project’s contracting strategy.
  • Assist in the development of work-hour estimates and relay information to Project Controls for engineering cost estimation.
  • Engage with other departments within the organization involved in the project.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings among Project Engineering, clients, and external parties.
  • Keep project stakeholders informed about progress, performance, and resource utilization, focusing on potential delays and trends.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of meetings, agreements, and communications that impact project execution.
  • Manage customer engineering feedback, approvals, and requests in coordination with all functional disciplines.
  • Support the technical and managerial growth of team members.
  • Coordinate Independent Engineering Design Reviews with discipline engineering management.
  • Evaluate engineering performance to guarantee quality, alignment with conceptual designs, and task completeness.
  • Review Design Change Notices (DCN) promptly, identify potential change orders, and assist the Project Manager with change order management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Possess a degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Ideally Chartered or actively pursuing chartered status.
  • Experience in a similar engineering management role.
  • Demonstrated experience in a highly regulated construction environment, including commissioning.
  • Familiarity with safety case justification.
  • Comprehensive understanding of building regulations and planning submissions under CDM regulations.

Currently hold SC clearance or be willing to undergo the SC process.
