We are seeking a Senior Engineering Assurance Manager to become a key member of our team. This role is vital for overseeing engineering activities on significant projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitate the establishment and execution of project manpower requirements while coordinating technical efforts across various disciplines.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and licensing standards.
- Design a safe, reliable, and operationally sound facility.
- Develop and issue Engineering Execution Plans, incorporating all relevant customer specifications and industry standards.
- Create a comprehensive master document list by compiling inputs from each discipline.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to formulate subcontract and work package descriptions aligned with the project’s contracting strategy.
- Coordinate the development of work-hour estimates and relay information to Project Controls for engineering cost estimation.
- Engage with other departments involved in the project to ensure cohesive operations.
- Organize and lead meetings between Project Engineering, clients, and external parties.
- Keep stakeholders informed about project status, performance metrics, and resource utilization, focusing on potential delays and issues.
- Document all relevant meetings, agreements, and communications impacting project execution.
- Manage customer engineering feedback, approvals, and requests in conjunction with functional activities across disciplines.
- Support the professional growth of team members through mentorship and guidance.
- Coordinate Independent Engineering Design Reviews with discipline engineering management.
- Evaluate engineering performance to ensure quality and compliance with design specifications.
- Review Design Change Notices (DCN) promptly, identifying potential change orders and assisting in their management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- A degree in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred.
- Chartered status or progress towards it is advantageous.
- Experience in a similar engineering management role is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in a highly regulated construction environment, including commissioning.
- Familiarity with safety case justification is required.
- Strong understanding of building regulations and CDM planning submissions.
Current security clearance or willingness to undergo the security clearance process is necessary.
