Senior Engineering Assurance Manager

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Assurance Manager to join our team on a major project located in Warrington.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Engineering teams to ensure seamless coordination and implementation of engineering activities.
  2. Assist in establishing and implementing project manpower needs and coordinating technical activities among disciplines.
  3. Ensure compliance with all statutory and licensing requirements, identifying and mitigating any potential risks.
  4. Develop and implement a technically sound, safe, and operable plant design with a high degree of reliability.
  5. Prepare and issue Engineering Execution Plans, incorporating all necessary customer requirements, procedures, and standards.
  6. Compile lists from each discipline to develop a master document list for the project.
  7. Work with project stakeholders to develop subcontract and work package descriptions consistent with the contracting plan.
  8. Coordinate development of work-hour estimates and transfer information to Project Controls for preparation of engineering cost estimates.
  9. Cooperate with other departments participating on the project.
  10. Schedule and coordinate meetings between Project Engineering, the customer, and other outside groups.
  11. Keep project stakeholders informed of project progress, performance, and manpower utilization, highlighting any delays, adverse trends, errors, or omissions.
  12. Ensure proper documentation of meetings, agreements, conversations, etc., affecting the project.
  13. Coordinate the customer's engineering comments, approvals, and requests with functional activities of all disciplines.
  14. Encourage and assist in the technical and managerial development of subordinates.
  15. Coordinate Independent Engineering Design Reviews by discipline engineering management.
  16. Review engineering performance to ensure quality, conformance with conceptual design, and completeness of engineering tasks.
  17. Promptly review Design Change Notices (DCN), identify change order candidates, segregate cost collection, and assist the Project Manager in pertinent aspects of change order management.
  18. Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications and Experience
  1. Ideal candidate holds a degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  2. Ideal candidate is Chartered or working towards Chartered status.
  3. Similar engineering management experience.
  4. Proven experience within a highly regulated construction sector, including commissioning.
  5. Knowledge of safety case justification.
  6. Sound understanding of building regulations and planning submissions of CDM regulations.
  7. Current SC clearance or prepared to undergo the SC process.
