Amentum is a leading global technical and engineering services partner.

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Assurance Manager to join our team on a major project in Warrington.

The Senior Engineering Assurance Manager will be responsible for coordinating, implementing, and performing engineering activities for assigned projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the establishment and implementation of project manpower needs and coordinating technical activities among disciplines.
  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory and licensing requirements.
  • Conducting the design of a technically sound, safe, and operable plant with a high degree of reliability.
  • Preparing and issuing Engineering Execution Plans and ensuring that all necessary and appropriate customer requirements, procedures, and standards are incorporated.
  • Compiling lists from each discipline to develop master document lists for projects.
  • Working with project stakeholders to develop subcontract and work package descriptions that are consistent with the contracting plan for the project.
  • Coordinating the development of work-hour estimates and transferring information to Project Controls for the preparation of engineering cost estimates.
  • Cooperating with other departments in the company participating on the project.
  • Scheduling and coordinating meetings between Project Engineering, the customer, and other outside groups.
  • Keeping project stakeholders advised of project progress, performance, and manpower utilization with attention to delays, adverse trends, errors, and omissions.
  • Assuring proper documentation of meetings, agreements, conversations, etc., that affect the conduct of the project.
  • Coordinating the customer's engineering comments, approvals, and requests with the functional activities of all disciplines.
  • Encouraging and assisting in the technical and managerial development of subordinates.
  • Coordinating Independent Engineering Design Reviews by discipline engineering management.
  • Reviewing engineering performance on the project to ensure quality, conformance with conceptual design, and completeness of engineering tasks.
  • Promptly reviewing Design Change Notices (DCN), identifying change order candidates, segregating cost collection, and assisting the Project Manager in pertinent aspects of change order management.
  • Performing all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ideal qualifications include a degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Ideal certifications include Chartered or working towards.
  • Similar engineering management experience is required.
  • Proven experience within a highly regulated construction sector, including commissioning.
  • Knowledge of safety case justification.
  • Sound understanding of building regulations and planning submissions of CDM regulations.
