Senior Engineering Assurance Manager

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Assurance Manager to join our team on a major project located in Warrington. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for coordinating, implementing, and performing engineering activities for assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain close working relationships with Project Managers and Engineering teams.
  2. Assist in establishing and implementing project manpower needs and coordinating technical activities among disciplines.
  3. Ensure compliance with all statutory and licensing requirements.
  4. Conduct design of technically sound, safe, and operable plants with high reliability.
  5. Prepare and issue Engineering Execution Plans, incorporating customer requirements, procedures, and standards.
  6. Compile lists from each discipline to develop master document lists for projects.
  7. Work with project stakeholders to develop subcontract and work package descriptions consistent with the contracting plan.
  8. Coordinate development of work-hour estimates and transfer information to Project Controls for engineering cost estimates.
  9. Cooperate with other departments participating on the project.
  10. Schedule and coordinate meetings between Project Engineering, customers, and outside groups.
  11. Keep project stakeholders informed of project progress, performance, and manpower utilization.
  12. Assure proper documentation of meetings, agreements, conversations, etc., affecting project conduct.
  13. Coordinate customer engineering comments, approvals, and requests with functional activities of all disciplines.
  14. Encourage and assist in the technical and managerial development of subordinates.
  15. Coordinate Independent Engineering Design Reviews by discipline engineering management.
  16. Review engineering performance to ensure quality, conformance with conceptual design, and completeness of engineering tasks.
  17. Promptly review Design Change Notices (DCN), identify change order candidates, segregate cost collection, and assist Project Manager in pertinent aspects of change order management.
Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Ideal candidate holds a degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  2. Ideal candidate is Chartered or working towards Chartered status.
  3. Candidate has held a similar engineering management position.
  4. Proven experience within a highly regulated construction sector, including commissioning.
  5. Knowledge of safety case justification.
  6. Sound understanding of building regulations and planning submissions of CDM regulations.
  7. Candidate currently holds SC or prepared to go through the SC process.
