We are seeking a Lead Quality Assurance Manager to oversee our significant projects. This position will involve travel and is primarily based in Warrington.

Role Overview:

  • The Lead Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective execution of all quality and nuclear safety initiatives in alignment with project specifications, standards, and both internal and client requirements.
  • Foster and exemplify positive quality attitudes and behaviors consistent with the company's core values.
  • Advocate for nuclear safety awareness and cultivate a 'Right First Time' culture throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct and participate in License Condition compliance audits.
  • Address identified corrective actions to uphold or enhance compliance and best practices within the organization.

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports to the Quality Director and Project Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and management of the Integrated Management System in accordance with ISO and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the creation, distribution, and management of quality-related project documentation.
  • Manage the internal and supplier audit program, including conducting audits and assessments to ensure relevant quality standards are met.
  • Deliver QA/QC oversight and assurance for projects and the supply chain.
  • Ensure that procedures and management processes comply with all regulatory standards, participate in management assessments, and act on customer feedback.
  • Coordinate project quality activities in accordance with project requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance to project teams on quality-related matters.
  • Encourage a culture of learning from experience (LFE) to promote continuous improvement.
  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation reflecting the overall project status.
  • Represent quality interests in project meetings.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for quality enhancement.
  • Establish strong internal relationships with project personnel to ensure effective completion of quality-related tasks and clear communication of quality requirements.
  • Champion the development and maintenance of a 'Right First Time' approach to project execution and promote a genuine nuclear safety culture across the project and supply chain.
  • Conduct quality compliance checks against ISO and regulatory standards, including regular audits and inspections of project activities.
  • Ensure that lessons learned are documented and shared across the project and organization, addressing both positive and negative experiences.
  • Manage the collection and reporting of quality-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and contribute to management reports as required.
  • Continuously review project quality performance to identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in a quality management role within the nuclear sector.
  • Prior experience on a nuclear licensed site.
  • In-depth knowledge of ONR site license requirements.
  • Understanding of CDM regulations.
  • Proven ability to interpret and implement ISO and regulatory requirements in the nuclear industry.
  • Experience in developing project-specific Quality Plans and associated documentation.
  • Familiarity with quality and safety requirements for both Licensee and global supply chain.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and work effectively in teams.
  • Internal Auditor qualification for ISO 9001:2015.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lead Auditor qualification for ISO 9001:2015.
  • Engineering qualification or relevant experience in design and engineering methodologies.
  • Membership in the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI).

All candidates should ideally possess Security Clearance (SC) or be willing to obtain it.
