Medico-Legal Administrator

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized administrative professional to join our dynamic team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the Trust's Losses and Compensation process and will assist the team with case coordination of both Inquests and negligence matters.
Main Duties of the Job
To provide high-level administrative support to the Medico-Legal Manager and Deputy Claims and Inquest Managers in relation to Negligence claims and Inquests, and to manage a small caseload of Employer and Public Liability claims.
To manage a significant caseload of Losses and Compensation claims, which will involve investigating the claim, liaising with patients, and presenting the claim to the Losses and Compensation Panel for approval/rejection.
To provide administrative support in the form of report writing and minute taking, and to act upon any emails received in the generic Medico-Legal Department inbox and allocate them to the team, as required.

As per Home Office guidelines, please be aware that, unfortunately, the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role, as it falls outside of the Home Office immigration rules. Therefore, please be advised that if you are a Student visa holder, we will not be able to offer you a full-time permanent contract unless you have applied for a Graduate visa or have successfully completed your course and applied for a Graduate visa before the anticipated start date of your employment.
