Our Team

The Legal and Compliance Department is part of our Central Services team, based in Prax Headquarters in Surrey. As a Compliance Assistant, you will report to the Group Ethics and Compliance Officer and work closely with the Legal and Compliance Department to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing and conducting Know Your Customer (KYC) processes to prevent money laundering and ensure compliance with anti-money laundering regulations.
  • Provide compliance support to the IS&T, Risk, and Corporate Finance teams, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform due diligence checks on new and existing counterparties to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Support the development and implementation of compliance policies, including the group Code of Conduct and compliance procedures.
  • Manage the raising concerns hotline, Gifts and Entertainment, and conflicts of interest registers.
  • Assist in the setup and implementation of online compliance training programs for the entire Prax group.
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, including counterparties documentation and compliance reports, to ensure audit readiness.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in AML compliance.
  • Ability to meet demanding deadlines and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Interest in process improvement and implementation of change.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Oil industry experience is an advantage.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach.
