The Legal & Compliance Department

The Legal & Compliance Department is a key function within Prax, responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. As a Compliance Assistant, you will be part of this department and report directly to the Group Ethics & Compliance Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with implementing and conducting Know Your Customer (KYC) processes to prevent money laundering and ensure compliance with anti-money laundering regulations.
  • Provide compliance support to the IS&T, Risk & Corporate Finance teams, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform due diligence checks on new and existing counterparties to identify risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide on-site compliance support to the Group Legal team, ensuring seamless integration with business operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, including counterparties documentation and compliance reports, to ensure audit readiness.
  • Assist with creating, implementing, and maintaining a group Code of Conduct and compliance policies.
  • Raise concerns and manage the raising concerns hotline, Gifts and Entertainment, and conflicts of interest registers.
  • Assist with setting up and implementing an online compliance training program for the entire Prax group.
  • Keep up-to-date all compliance registers and assist with GDPR-related matters.
  • Perform other ad-hoc compliance-related duties as required.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in AML compliance.
  • Ability to meet demanding deadlines, often with competing priorities, and adapt to business needs.
  • Interest in process improvement and implementation of change.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Oil industry experience is an advantage.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Possess strong analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable in approach.
  • 5 days a week in the office.
