Barclay Meade is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for ensuring category strategy is aligned and deployed alongside group procurement policy and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement category strategies to drive cost savings and improve supplier performance.
  • Lead supplier negotiations and drive the best cost sourcing outcomes.
  • Initiate and drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and performance standards.
  • Develop and maintain contingency plans to address potential disruption in the supply chain.
  • Manage supplier spend and contracts to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor and report on key procurement projects to the procurement Head of Group.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or Senior Procurement Manager.
  • Familiarity with ERP/enterprise management systems.
  • Computer literacy with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel Application.
  • Understanding of MRP systems and their practical applications.
