Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Contracts and Procurement Manager to lead our Upstream business's Contracts and Procurement activities. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing robust contracting and procurement strategies to support production operations, development projects, and business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct the Contracts and Procurement team to ensure effective and efficient contract management.
  • Develop and implement contracting and procurement strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Source and engage reliable suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Interface with stakeholders to provide specialist advice and support to identify improvements to enhance business delivery.
  • Lead and negotiate contracts and related call-off orders to secure favorable terms and risk profile for the Company.
  • Manage contracts to provide logistic support to facilitate safe and efficient operations.
  • Monitor contract validity and suitability to ensure contracts remain active and fit-for-purpose.
  • Ensure compliance with internal, regulatory, and third-party contracting and procurement reporting requirements.
  • Participate in internal and external contracting and procurement related audits to ensure timely closure of actions.

Requirements

  • Experience of working for an Operator in the oil and gas industry.
  • Degree qualified with a minimum of 15 years progressive experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Tier 1 / Service Company experience is preferable.
  • Proven EH&S and management leadership experience.
  • Experience of working in a functional matrix organisation is preferable.
  • Experience and proficiency in developing fit-for-purpose contracting and procurement processes.
  • Demonstrable experience in analysing the market and developing robust contracting and procurement strategies.
  • Excellent negotiating skills and practical experience in leading successful contract negotiations.
  • Highly motivated with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of multi-disciplined teams.
  • Organized and capable of setting priorities.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Broad and detailed knowledge of a range of commercial structures and contracts.
  • Significant experience in development of tender packages and leading the complete tender process.
