Upstream Contracts and Procurement Lead

Prax Group is seeking a seasoned Senior Contracts and Procurement Manager to join their Upstream business.

As a vital member of the team, you will spearhead and direct contracts and procurement activities to support production operations, development projects, and overall business expansion. Your role encompasses developing strategic initiatives, negotiating contracts, cultivating vendor relationships, and ensuring adherence to internal processes and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute as a member of the PUL Leadership Team
  • Lead and oversee all contracts and procurement activities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive contracts and procurement strategies
  • Source and establish strong relationships with suppliers
  • Negotiate contracts and manage tender processes effectively
  • Guarantee contract compliance and validity
  • Manage contract administration and closure procedures
  • Participate in contracts and procurement audits
  • Provide support for broader commercial negotiations

Skills, Expertise, and Competencies:

  • Essential experience within the oil and gas industry
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience in EH&S (Environment, Health, and Safety) and management leadership
  • Experience in developing contracts and procurement processes
  • Exceptional negotiating skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Expertise in tender processes
