About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our care home team at The Grange, where you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in a residential setting.
Duties:
- Provide personal care and assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, promoting healthy eating habits and social interaction among residents.
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate records of medication administration.
- Support residents in maintaining their physical and emotional well-being through recreational activities and outings.
- Create and implement care plans tailored to individual needs, working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care.
- Supervise and engage residents in activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction, such as arts and crafts, games, and group discussions.
- Maintain accurate records of resident care and progress, using this information to inform care planning and make adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication, upholding the highest standards of care and professionalism.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in senior care roles, preferably in a residential setting.
