Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a technical project coordinator, working on a freight locomotive retrofit initiative focused on decarbonization and digitalization within the UK rail sector.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Planning: Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  2. Team Management: Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Freight Operating Companies and Network Rail.
  4. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and budgets.
  5. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Requirements
  • Project Management Qualifications: APM accreditation and/or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Engineering Background: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or relevant experience).
  • Experience in Rail Industry: Background in rolling stock engineering, especially in ETCS or CBTC systems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
