Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Officer to join our team at London Bridge Hospital. As a Patient Access Officer, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression of our hospital.
  • Communicate efficiently and professionally with internal and external stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on our hospital database, ensuring seamless patient journeys.
  • Formally pre-register or register all patients onto our databases, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
  • Ensure all relevant patient documents are signed and scanned to patient accounts, maintaining confidentiality and security.
  • Respond to telephone, written, and face-to-face queries, providing clear and concise information to patients and families.
  • Respond promptly to patient and third-party requests, demonstrating a commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Manage patient waiting areas to ensure smooth operations and efficient patient flow.
  • Coordinate and facilitate all patient bookings, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling.

Requirements:

  • Previous administrative experience in a client/customer-facing role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent customer care skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient experiences.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office – Excel, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
