Job Overview

This senior leadership position is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and innovative individual to lead East Kent Rape Crisis Centre in the provision of high-quality sexual violence support services. The successful candidate will be a tenacious advocate for women, gender equality, and the eradication of sexual violence against women and girls locally and nationally.

The role involves strategic leadership, management, and direction of the organisation, ensuring it delivers its mission and objectives. This includes developing and implementing policies, procedures, and strategies to achieve excellence in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide strategic leadership and direction to the organisation, aligning with its mission and values.
2. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and strategies to enhance service delivery and organisational performance.
3. Lead and manage a team of professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure their growth and development.
4. Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including staff, clients, funders, and partners, to promote collaboration and mutual understanding.
5. Ensure the organisation operates within its means, managing resources effectively to deliver quality services and achieve its goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Proven track record of leadership and management experience in a relevant sector, preferably in a similar role or function.
2. Strong strategic thinking, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate strategy into action.
3. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
4. Demonstrated commitment to feminism, women's rights, and social justice, with a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding sexual violence and its impact on individuals and communities.
5. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, promoting a culture of inclusivity, respect, and empathy.
6. Strong analytical and financial management skills, with the ability to manage budgets, monitor expenses, and make informed decisions about resource allocation.
