Job Summary:

Shire Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team in Northumberland. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support to children with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties within a children's home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centred support to children, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Support children in maintaining and developing relationships with friends and family, as well as encouraging integration with the local community.
  • Assist children in all aspects of daily living, including personal care, education, and leisure activities.
  • Safeguard vulnerable children and report any suspicions or evidence of harm.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry standards.
  • Be willing to cover other homes when required, demonstrating flexibility and a team-oriented approach.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure seamless communication and support.
