We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Collections Executive to join our team at Propel Finance. As a key member of our collections team, you will play a vital role in helping us maintain our financial health by identifying customers who have missed payments or may be getting close to that point and then work closely with those customers to minimise bad debt.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Collections Manager in the effective day-to-day management of workloads, ensuring that all collections activities are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
- Train and develop the collections team, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex cases, working closely with customers and equipment suppliers to resolve issues and negotiate payment plans.
- Maintain and administer a portfolio of customers who have missed payments, ensuring that all necessary actions are taken to recover outstanding debts.
- Negotiate and discuss options with customers and equipment suppliers in respect of arrears, ensuring that all agreements are fair and reasonable.
- Assist with reporting requirements and case summaries, providing regular updates to the Collections Manager and other stakeholders.
- Proven experience in collections and debt recovery, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and laws.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting targets.
