About the Role
We are seeking a Relief Me Time Facilitator to join our Me Time Team. As a valued colleague, you will be flexible and committed to supporting people in a range of community settings.
Me Time is Mencap's social inclusion, leisure, and community-based programme. It supports people with a learning disability to develop skills and confidence, expand their networks, and be fully included in their local community.
As a Relief Facilitator, you will work alongside people, providing support and enabling them to access local opportunities. You will be creative, dynamic, and adaptable, responding to the needs of the people you support.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute actively to the team, providing ideas and solutions to improve individual and team performance.
- Ensure person-centred plans are in place, with the person fully involved in all aspects of planning and review.
- Be creative and dynamic, responding to challenging scenarios and the needs of the people you support.
- Complete paperwork requirements in a timely manner, ensuring high-quality reporting and recording.
- Communicate with dignity and respect, building rapport with the people you support and the wider community.
- Enable people to make decisions and choices, accessing new opportunities in line with their desired lifestyle.
