Job Title: Commercial Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Esh Group. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in the management of contracts specific to the Water Industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit Interim Valuations and Final Accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Procure sub-contractors in line with target programme and company policy requirements, ensuring competency and adherence to project timelines.
  • Administer sub-contracts, including progress meetings, delay evaluation, variations, and payment notifications.
  • Assess and pay sub-contractor applications, issue payment notifications, and manage contra charges.
  • Finalize Account agreements for sub-contract accounts and ensure accurate production of internal valuations and cost value reconciliations.
  • Monitor progress, evaluate variations, and control material costs to ensure project profitability.
  • Collaborate with the Site Manager and delivery team to produce joint monthly cost forecasts and maintain accurate records.
  • Identify and notify delays, working closely with the Quantity Surveying line manager.
  • Attend regular design review, internal, and external progress review meetings.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in the Water Industry, including Water Treatment Processes, MEICA, ICA & SCADA, Environmental impact, and Flood prevention.
  • Experience working on Frameworks, NEC Target Cost Contracts, Design & Construct Schemes, and Water Industry schemes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and office IT packages, as well as extranet and electronic project management systems.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
