Job Title: Commercial Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Esh Group.

About the Role:

The Commercial Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the commercial management of contracts specific to the sector, ensuring accurate and timely assessments and payments to sub-contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of Interim Valuations and Final Accounts
  • Procurement of sub-contractors in line with target programme and company policy requirements
  • Contract administration of sub-contracts, including progress meetings and delay evaluation
  • Timely and accurate assessment and payment of sub-contractors' applications
  • Final Account agreement of sub-contract accounts
  • Measurement of quantities both on site and from drawings
  • Timely and accurate evaluation of variations and provisional sum expenditure
  • Weekly direct labour and plant subcontractor payments
  • Material cost control
  • Accurate production of internal valuations, sub-contract liabilities, and cost value reconciliations
  • Working closely with the Site Manager and delivery team to monitor progress and its effect on margin
  • Ensuring good quality and accurate records are kept and maintained
  • Delay identification and notification
  • Take-off and preparation of bills of quantities for estimating department
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a relevant HND or equivalent
  • Experience of working on projects within the relevant sector
