Support Worker Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Support Worker to join our team at Sanctuary Supported Living. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to make a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable children and young adults.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, person-centred support to enable and empower our clients to develop the skills necessary for independent living. This will involve establishing professional relationships with all clients, using clear and effective communication to promote independence through daily living skills and social engagement.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with vulnerable children and young adults, as well as proven knowledge of key needs and services for this client group. They will also have some knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, such as the Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality support to enable and empower clients to develop essential life skills
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients and their families
- Liaise with external agencies to ensure maximum support is delivered to clients
- Promote safe practices and undertake risk assessments within legislative frameworks
- Experience of working with vulnerable children and young adults
- Proven knowledge of key needs and services for relevant client group
- Good understanding of written and spoken English
- Ability to demonstrate a positive and accepting approach to clients
- A competitive salary of £13.12 per hour
- At least 25 days paid holiday, rising to 30 days after 5 years' service
