Job Title: Visitor Services Assistant

At National Trust for Scotland, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Visitor Services Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our site staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our visitors have an exceptional experience at our managed sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collections Care: Assist in the cleaning and care of our collection of furniture, books, artworks, glass, ceramics, metals, textiles, and other objects, ensuring they are properly maintained and stored.
  • Site Maintenance: Work with your line manager to ensure all public areas are kept clean and tidy, and that the site meets Health and Safety legislation.
  • Visitor Experience: Provide excellent customer care to foster a friendly and inviting atmosphere for visitors, staff, and volunteers, and assist with the set-up, stewarding, and break-down of events.
  • Conservation and Training: Work with conservation volunteers, take an active role in staff and volunteer training, and contribute to the development of 'conservation in action' programmes and public engagement activities.
  • Environmental Sustainability: Support the Trust's obligations to minimize impact on the environment through efficient use of resources, recycling, and waste disposal.
