Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking an experienced physiotherapist to join our team at Prince Philip Hospital. As a Medical Rehabilitation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to patients with diverse needs.
About the Role
This rotational post offers a unique opportunity to work within our stroke pathway and across Mynydd Mawr Rehab Unit, providing rehabilitation to people staying on the unit and those waiting to come down for rehab on other wards. You will be responsible for leading group exercise sessions, managing a diverse caseload, and supervising staff to support our rehab assistants and physio support staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist assessments and formulate treatment plans using clinical reasoning
- Supervise students, junior members of staff, rehabilitation assistants, and therapy support staff
- Manage a diverse caseload and prioritize tasks effectively
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver person-centered care
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Professional registration as a physiotherapist
- Postgraduate education in relevant specialty
- Experience working in acute inpatient, stroke, and rehabilitation settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to travel between sites and in community in a timely manner

Salary
