About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Rehabilitation Support Worker to join our team at The Disabilities Trust. As a Rehabilitation Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with brain injuries to regain their independence and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred support to individuals with brain injuries, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised rehabilitation plans.
  • Assist individuals with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Encourage and support individuals to participate in activities that promote their independence and quality of life.
  • Monitor and report on individual progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals, families, and colleagues.
  • Empathy and understanding of the needs and experiences of individuals with brain injuries.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands.
  • Knowledge of brain injury and its effects, or a willingness to learn and develop this knowledge.
